why there was no MLS team from San Francisco?
I was born in SF and I've lived here all my life. I's a sure way football is more popular here than in Colorado, Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, Kansas City, Houston, and Dallas, but for some reason there is no MLS team here when there is in all places. SJ Earthquakes suck, why not replace them with the team here? SF is a city popular with many talents, and after 2 more teams to join MLS in 2012, there will be 19 teams total. Most league 20 teams in it, then SF would be perfect! no MLS team is located in the most random places in the United States, but San Francisco will be a great place to start a team! to a country where soccer is not so well known, SF has a pretty good amount of interest in football. There are a lot of ground here and I have a great idea and if it does not start MLS team here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M GONNA explode !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
You do not have owners willing to horses until the money to buy a franchise. On the whole San Fran is a small media market and that does not help your cause in Cali side has three teams already. Recent successful bids for MLS most have included a new stadium that enjoy public funding for at least part of the cost. There are exceptions of course alone, but overall your chance to see MLS soccer in the bay area is not good and probably will not get better.
