I am a student and I want to trial this fall for girls jv soccer team. the only problem is my 've never played before. I have a while before testing begins. what should I do to prepare for trial? I know I need to start running like a 3 or 4 miles. What size ball should I start working with Nike and is a good ball to get?
It does not matter that you are a beginner, you have plenty of time before the next season to practice! You need size 5 soccer ball (make sure it says 'official size' on it) but any brand okay. I personally use addidas, because they tend to ball decent and have a wider selection to choose from. If you work in the grass, you should get a good pair cleats. I prefer Pumas, because they last forever and have very good close touch technology. If you prefer a brand like addidas or nike, I would recommend predators (addidas) or laser (nike). They are comfortable and lightweight. I have a pair, but I Puma Hamathite just works better for me. They are not expensive, and I swear that they enhance shoot me. Cleat last forever, so if you invest in them now would be a good partner and damaged by next season. A pair of good must be made of leather and will mold to your feet. It never hurts to start working on dribbling skills. Good coordination is your best asset on the field, and will take some time to fully develop it. When you begin to dribble, set the ball between your legs, and just pass back and forth gently, jump around or 'jocky-ing' to give ball enough room to move. When you are in the field, knowing how to jump around and cut really help you to get around defenders. When you get the hang of it, began to walk forward, be sure to keep control of the ball. You will be able to move faster and faster the better you are. Once you're really good at dribbling, try preparing some cones and dribble in between and around them. If you have a blank wall you can kick, the practice of passing back and forth to the wall and traps (stop) the ball with the inside of your foot. This will help you tremendously. Passing is an important skill in football. Move to kick in the corner, and walked to the ball. If you want a defensive capability Good, I would recommend investing in the noisy and over, which can be found in stores like Sports Authority. You can throw the ball on it at first, then trap practice with various parts of the body. You will need to learn to trap a chest (under-colar bone and you may want to wear sports bras for this trap Thigh) (in the thigh) and trap foot (use the inside of the leg to stop the ball and bring it to the ground) In a game you can. should use the head or the stomach also. Once you get well you can kick in the jump, which will enhance your goals and sent the ball to you more quickly. If you can not get a jump, the wall will work fine, but it would be difficult to corner properly. A friend jumped me when I started playing, and you can zero in on when you practice your shots. Heading the ball is really important, espeacially if you plan to be a striker or defender. Try to throw the ball into the air and using the hard part of your forehead slapping the ball. Once you learn how to head with true, you can jump to get more power and leverage, and learn to corner so you can score a goal. * When this is done correctly, not ill at all, so do not worry. DO NOT USE YOUR HEAD TOP. It hurts, and most players can kick hard enough to give you a concussion. Some coaches in jv may not want you to use a header, but honestly I can not play the game without using one. If you plan to go forward, would be better to find out the important. Kicking / shooting / striking really. Use your rope cleats (or regular shoes if you do not have one) to kick the ball. Make sure your feet make contact in the right place is very important for ball flight. If you want to stay on the ground, kicked between the middle and the top of the ball. To get air-born ball, kick in the direction of your feet touching the ground, almost slid under the ball and pushed it off the grass. The first few times you do this wont be perfect, but do practice shooting several times a day will help you to improve very. Finally I would just recommend doing some research. Watch some games on tv to help you understand how the game works, and how the players move in the field. This will help you to take some steps, and saw how moved I described above are made. You can also search for specific types of kicks on youtube, and see how other players do. Youtube is a great place to find instructional videos made by other players, especially if you want to learn how to juggle with your feet. You will want to know some key terms, such as-Trapping: stop-Give and go: make a pass and then ran the field to score - Man on: When someone from the team opponent approach you And various other terms used in the field. Some coaches are not really taught all these things (what do you do in your position in the field and how move the player, or terminology) they just kind of expect you to know them, or pick their own. If you have enough practice before the fall, I do not see why You must have issues that make Varsity as a freshman. You would have really worked, and at first you may not be the starter, but you can make it. If you just make jv though, you probably will move to the university by next season. Make sure you know what to do is the first step in becoming a good player. Preserve on the run and if you have a gym nearby or heavy machinery in your home I suggest you use it well. You will be expected as a football player to be able to run for a period a long time, and has a good burst of speed when needed. Doing squats and sit-ups will help a lot, and coach the most will make you this for practice anyways. If You have a jump rope-you must use it to exersize a few times a week. This will help you get in some cardio and build agility. My coach made me jump rope everyday. Anyways, Good luck to you! Football is an amazing sport and you will surely love it once you get into the swing of things. I myself was a player Avid football (I-sticker which is a violation) and as you can I may have done it long enough. I'll be in the club for the off season (which you can look into if you need instruction, it is basically an AC-school football you have to have information about it) then I have a bunch of scholarship offers to play in college. This very interesting! I'm really glad to see you getting interested in sports, and if you require further clarification or advice I would be glad to help. I also know a fake well some moves out and the various types of kicks (including overhead), so if you want to progress and need some tips just send me an email. I know a thing or two about the game, so I will be glad to answer any questions you go. Now out there and get started! Have fun!
