What's wrong with my computer?
First day was watching a football game online while the computer screen turned blue, the sound was trapped and a message on the screen read something like, your computer has been shut down to protect you .. . if this is the first time you ever see this screen. try a reboot or in safe mode, something like that, it will not start again after that so I put in the windows disk to boot from it, I chose to do the repairs, it takes a long time and lost most of my stuff, but since then, I update all my things again, but the computer acts up, as in it's really slow, it took almost 3 minutes to just open word file, and it always makes a sound like when downloading or doing a scan ... i think im 'going to do a full format but who have an idea what is happening and how to prevent that, before I do that? I use AVG, zone alarm and spybot search and destroy btw. thanks 
Maybe It could be your hard drive, ram, or some other hardware.Sometimes system, some files may conflict or damaged.
