Getting back to the old form without bulking up?

To 19 I played College Soccer and is built very muscular. Indeed I am only 5'2 and I'm 120 pounds of solid muscle. After two ACL operations weakening my legs, after two children my body weakened. Im now 24 and 135 pounds my abs, bread and thighs are not quite what they first. I've started to do the half hour and an hour of cardio per night, depending on my work intensitiy out. Tomorrow I am my mid-upper abs and lower practice, Im rotates between the legs, back and arms every day. Im afraid of bulking again, I want to be tight but not my first big muscled. What can I do to prevent a large again, given I want to tone and lose fat.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm just going to my destination. What I do is Tae Bo, cardio (stationary recumbent bike) and most recently I completed a Beachbody's P90X. My best tip is when doing weights, take the weight where you can only do about 12-15 reps. If You choose the weight where you can only do 8-10 reps, you're lifting too much and would get bulkier than that. Choosing lighter weight and do about 15 reps will build lean muscle, not great. Also, you can do lunges (weighted or not) to shape your legs. My legs are my problem area because I played football all in high school. Being 5'1 "does not help either, I naturally see stalky. For cardio, you might try to avoid intense or running, because that tends to to build mass in the leg. Go for longer distances or cycle or swim. Cycling and swimming are great to form a longer, leaner muscles. Swimming is also good for your group core muscles. I hope some of this helps! Good luck!
